VIP Smart Cities Technology, made up of nearly 30 students, is split among three teams, IoT Sensors, Smart Grids, and Smart Vehicles.
The IoT Sensors Team develops static and dynamic sensor kits to collect different forms of data in various neighborhoods to understand the correlation of societal activities and factors to quality and standard of living. Air quality is one of the aspects the team is exploring presently and plans to expand to others factors.
The Smart Grid team is designing the next generation of inductive chargers for Electric Vehicles. It is also focusing on sustainable and renewable energy and is presently working on optimizing power from solar panels with plans to expand into other renewable energy resources.
The Smart Vehicles team is working on developing the next generation of urban transportation. The present urban public transportation system is highly inefficient which the team is trying to solve. The team is working on developing the future of public transportation through Shared Autonomous Vehicles alongside Next Future Transportation. The team focuses on developing the designs for deployment in NYC and optimizing the routing algorithm. The team is also working on creating a customizable Autonomous Drone for payload delivery and Disaster Relief Operations.
We have a scaled - down prototype for our autonomous vehicle
A Drone Inductive charging station is all juiced up for deployment
The autonomous vehicle prototype is ready to for a test drive.
We establish our R&D to develop future projects while we deploy the current ones.
The team can produce multiple prototypes and make a huge leap in the schedule
