U·START is a runway to real-world experience. We are currently developing the next iteration of our website--with a companion mobile app--set for release in January 2020. Our goal is to provide an accessible environment to connect students, faculty, and alumni. These connections can yield valuable project collaborations, research positions, and freelancing opportunities--all of which can be showcased on our platform.
Additionally, we are running a series of events that promote this connection between students, alumni, and faculty--all under the umbrella of our U·DESIGN Challenge. This challenge involves teams of students working on projects with alumni coaching and further guidance from current faculty. Students are taken throughout the project development process and are able to work on presenting, documenting, and executing their ideas
Our U·COACH Initiative is designed to bring our amazing alumni network back into the fold by connecting them to the bountiful student-driven projects throughout the university. By leading re-engagement efforts via the U·DESIGN Challenge and other endeavors, we aim to provide students with a focused path towards the future, while allowing them to maintain the connections made while in school.
We work with many students across different majors within the Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP) Program, as well as the Summer Research program. Pictured above is one of our students, Tarek, who participated in both our VIP and Summer Research teams. Through working with all these students over the years, we have gained drastic insight into our platform and its inner workings to deliver a fully-realized product to our community.
