NYU Tandon School of Engineering Vertically Integrated Project Team: NYU Self Drive, is working towards contributing to the autonomous vehicle industry by creating the world’s safest driver!
Our team is made up of approximately 45 undergraduate and graduate engineering/technology students with knowledge in robotics, computer vision, management, machine, and deep learning.
The three main sub-teams within NYU Self Drive are Perception, Mechatronics, and Operations.
Since being established in Fall 2016, NYU Self Drive has transformed a 2010 low-speed golf cart into a fully functioning self-driving vehicle: Little Beetle. Our team has experience in environments like RoboCup Competitions, Combat Robots, CyberTruck Challenges, e-Yantra, Research Expos, and the Annual Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition.
Our team of engineers are passionate about the developing technologies and have contributed their skills and time to work on Little Beetle, our competition car.
With teamwork, dedication, and passion contributed by all members, NYU Self Drive has successfully built an autonomous vehicle that can take on different road conditions with the four state-of-the-art algorithms we have programmed in the car.
Our mission is to better educate our future engineers to facilitate Robotics and Artificial Intelligence research to build the world’s safest driver.
With support and donations, we will be able to continue our mission and work towards creating a self-driving vehicle! Thank you in advance!
