Fariha Mahjabin, wins MakerSpace Mini grant for the month of September, 2019! She is doing awesome work turning calendula, a flower grown in the farm, to cosmetics.
In the first iteration of her project, through trial and error, she was able to make a really nice face cream.
Now she is looking to make it even better by collaborating with Dr. Grier in the Physics dept. to use holographic imaging to detect the binding of active ingredients within her cosmetic formulation! She is looking to scientifically make a more active cream with the use of blenders and more controlled heating!
