The NYU School of Professional Studies Center for Global Affairs (CGA) is a program where the latest global trends and critical issues are examined and vigorously debated in the classroom and at public events; a program where individuals of diverse backgrounds and nationalities come together to explore how to make our world a better and more just place; a program that embraces a world where diplomacy and global transactions occur in a 21st-century milieu comprised of state and non-state actors.
Our mission is bold - to create a community of global citizens to make a positive impact in the world.
The mission is straightforward: to create a community of global citizens capable of changing the world. The MS in Global Affairs program; the new MS in Global Conflict, Security, and Cybercrime; year-round continuing-education program; and provocative public events series combine to create an environment where everyone with an interest in global affairs can find a place to contribute and learn.
Our graduate alumni community numbers over 1500+ across the globe. They are leaders in the private and public sectors in areas such as energy, humanitarian assistance, diplomacy, international development, cyber and transnational security, international NGOs and domestic nonprofits, government agencies, and think tanks. Our students have included Rangel Scholars, returned Peace Corps volunteers, and Fulbright Scholars. They share our vision for a more equitable and just world and are on the frontlines to make that change.
