NYU Gallatin GUIDE Program

The GUIDE Program is a partnership between NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study and the Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC). The program provides full scholarships to academically exceptional BMCC students, who enter NYU at the start of the junior year and complete their Bachelor's degree at Gallatin.

In selecting the BMCC sophomores who will become GUIDE Scholars, Gallatin seeks out students who are committed to studying social justice through an interdisciplinary lens, whether that be arts activism, urban democracy, human rights, political theory or any combination thereof. The program is highly competitive.

GUIDE Scholars are deeply engaged in their various communities in New York City, at Gallatin, and across NYU. In the classroom, they amplify the concerns of the city and help shape Gallatin’s own multi-sited work around issues of social justice and equality.

Donations will help support the provision of course materials, meal plans, tuition, MetroCard, and more. To learn more about the program and our students, please visit the bios of our GUIDE Scholars as well as our GUIDE finalists. We thank you in advance for your contribution, which helps improve the accessibility of higher education and centers social justice work!
