Our Story
College & Career Lab (CCL) is a free, six-year, year-round academically rigorous and experientially rich postsecondary and career preparatory program offered to low-income and first-generation middle and high school students of color in the New York City public schooling system. CCL exposes youth, who often have a limited understanding of options, to a wide array of academic and career pathways by providing access to role models, expanding students' social capital, and delivering college lectures and activities with professionals that span across disciplines and industries.

Support CCL middle school students with foundational learning on the postsecondary and career landscape.
Support CCL middle school students with hands-on career exploration opportunities.
Support in-person and online access to educational technology platforms for CCL middle and high school students
Supports on-site field visits to various industries in NYC for career exploration for CCL middle and high school students
Supports an internship opportunity for one CCL high school student. This level comes with an invitation to any young person in the donor's life to schedule a 45-minute consultation with our trained staff to receive guidance and support in anything related to college and career development and readiness. We typically provide help with resume building, interviewing strategies, applying for internships, networking skills, and personal statement writing, as well as how to search for resources and stay connected to passions and interests.
Supports the development and implementation of a two-week on-campus immersive experience for 100 high school students. This level comes with an invitation to gift a tailored virtual CCL workshop to a classroom or Community-Based Organization of your choice. Audiences can range from 7th graders - 11th graders and can focus on career exploration, soft-skill development, hands-on activities, and postsecondary pathway development.
