What is Shabbat for 2000? On March 31st, 2017, Hillel at NYU and the Bronfman Center will host Shabbat for 2000, a free shabbat dinner which brings together 2,000 university students, alumni, family members, faculty and staff from all different backgrounds to share in the profound communal experience of shabbat dinner.
Shabbat for 2000, now in its eighteenth year, is the largest Jewish student event in the country and one of the largest student-run events at NYU!
Why is Shabbat for 2000 important?
All of the funds raised by the Shabbat for 2000 student development committee will go to offset the costs of hosting the event.
