The NYU Recent Graduate Scholarship Challenge is an opportunity for the Law School’s recent graduates, from 2008 to 2017, to make a tangible difference in the life of a current NYU Law student.
A generous alumnus, Alan W. Kornberg '77, has agreed to provide the Recent Graduate Scholarship with support from Alan W. Kornberg '77 to further the impact of our recent alumni contributions, and demonstrate the collective power of your support. If 350 recent graduates make a gift (including payments on existing pledges) of any amount between now and Convocation Day on May 17, they will unlock this scholarship for a student next academic year.
This is your chance to make your support go even further. Not only will your contribution help to fund the Law School programs most important to you-whether it be a student organization or journal, public interest support, clinic, program, scholarships, or anything else-it will also be a part of a larger effort with your fellow Recent Graduates to create a scholarship for a deserving student. It’s like your gift counts twice.
Our alumni know the power of an NYU Law education, and through the collective efforts of our Recent Graduates, another deserving student will be able to access that education regardless of financial barriers.
Contributions to anywhere at the Law School will count towards unlocking this scholarship. This includes student organizations you were a part of, centers and clinics you worked with, or departments that you want to support. Giving on this page will direct your support to the areas it is most needed. If you would like to designate your gift to a specific area at the Law School, please go to law.nyu.edu/giving, and choose the area you’d like to support. If you do not see an initiative, you can enter it in the “Other Designation” box.
Payments on existing pledges count, so even if you have a pledge due later in the year, consider making your payment today to extend the impact of your philanthropy.
And remember, it’s participation that counts here. Your support at any level will help to unlock this scholarship and change the life of an NYU Law student.
Gifts during this time from alumni in the Class of 2008 and the Class of 2013 will also have their contribution counts towards their 5th and 10th reunion fundraising goals! In this way, you can triple the impact of your contribution.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact Tiffany Ko, Assistant Director of Annual Giving and Reunion Programs at tiffany.ko@nyu.edu or 212-998-6401.
