Unite your clubs to create scholarship by participating in the 1831 Fund Club Competition!

The 1831 Fund is a student-run organization that raises money for incoming students. I PROMISE you that 100% of all donations go directly to scholarships for students at your school.

This email officially launches the Club Competition, which runs until #GivingTuesday (November 29th, 11:59pm EST). Click here to learn more and to register your club by November 21st. Once you’ve registered, track your progress here.

Why participate:

Each senior member of the first five clubs to meet 100% senior participation will get a FREE DRINK AT JOE COFFEE!!!!!!! 

All senior donors will get the following takeaways*:

$18.31: a customized “Class of 2017” stemless glass

$10: an 1831 Fund water bottle to meet all of your hydration needs

Seniors can also make a gift via Venmo @TheFund (or @SternLegacy2017 if you’re a Stern student) – include your name and net ID in the comments – or by using their campus cash at the 1831 Fund table in Kimmel on November 29th.

All seniors who make a gift over $50 will be invited to the Young Alumni Leadership Circle (YALC) Holiday Party!

Clubs that reach 100% senior participation will have their club name engraved on the 1831 Fund Donor Recognition plaque in the Center for Student Activities, Leadership, and Service (CSALS) on the 7th floor of Kimmel.

Last year, over 20% of the Class of 2016 donated to the 1831 Fund in support of scholarships. Help us continue this legacy and make 2017 the best year yet – the Class of 2021 is counting on us!

If you aren’t convinced, here are EVEN MORE reasons why you should participate:

100% of your donation helps an incoming student to your school! This means that if you are at Tandon, your gift goes to helping future Tandon students.

Increase NYU’s rankings. Senior class giving is factored into NYU’s rankings, as almost every college across the country has a senior giving campaign. This means we are helping to bolster the power of the degree we are working so hard and paying so much to earn.
