NYU Hyperloop is a student-run team competing in SpaceX's Hyperloop Competition.
Donating to our team allows us to build our pod and best represent NYU Tandon School of Engineering.
The team is competing in SpaceX's Hyperloop Competition in the summer of 2019, a competition where university teams from the U.S., Europe and Asia have attended in the past renditions. The purpose of the competition is to build a Hyperloop pod, with the goal of reaching maximum speed in a mile-long, vacuum tube provided by SpaceX. The Hyperloop project was first introduced by Elon Musk in 2013, and this competition serves as a way to improve Musk's preliminary design. In addition to the competition, NYU Hyperloop is also looking at the implementation costs and the subsequent benefits for New York's five boroughs and our neighboring states.
