Our Crowdfunding Groups
The refugee and immigrant communities are two populations which face discrimination in almost every part of the world. As part of Alternative Breaks this year, our team hopes to tackle and learn about the issue of refugee and immigrant rights from a more holistic perspective. In other words, we realize that the injustices these communities face do not simply end when they resettle or move to another country. Therefore, we hope to understand the issues they face before, during, and after their journey from their home country to a new one. Furthermore, we plan on tackling issues such as education, healthcare accessibility, food and job insecurity, and more as we work with organizations in Washington D.C to not only help provide the support these communities want from us, but also use our privilege to educate ourselves and our community on this issue.
