Celebrate with Us!
The NYU Bronfman Center in partnership with Hillel at NYU is excited to announce Havdalah Under the Stars, a spinoff of Shabbat for 2000, one of NYU’s premier events and the largest Jewish student-run event in the United States. On the evening of Saturday, February 29, 2,000 students, alumni, parents, and friends will gather to share in a Havdalah ceremony followed by a night of music and dancing at The Metropolitan Pavilion.
Inspired by the beautiful tradition of communal Shabbat, we aspire to refresh and expand on our shared experience with Havdalah. We see the interwoven design of the Havdalah candle as a symbol of that commitment to relationship-building and pluralism. This event exemplifies a pillar of Bronfman Center education and leadership development through woven leadership—the idea that each of us needs one another in order to make the largest impact on our community.
Who We Are
Hillel at NYU
A non-denominational Jewish organization that hosts cultural and social events for the entire Jewish student community, while fostering open dialogue between the various Jewish clubs on campus and the greater NYU community.
NYU Bronfman Center
The Edgar M. Bronfman Center for Jewish Student Life engages one of the largest Jewish student populations in the United States. The Bronfman Center creates an open and pluralistic environment where students can learn, explore and celebrate the many faces of Jewish identity and expression.
