Founded by PolyBOTS leadership and alumni, we are a new and fast-growing team of students hungry to prove our engineering talent at DJI's annual RoboMaster Competition.
This past summer, we made our debut at the RoboMaster North American Series and placed 3rd in the league!
Since it was established in 2013 by founded Da-Jiang Innovations (DJI), the RoboMaster program has been a platform for robotic competitions and academic exchange. Each year the main event attracts thousands of attendees, the broadcast got over 1.95 million online viewers.
As a new team, we have less than a year to build a set of six state-of-the-art specialized robots. These bots are mostly driven remotely by our team, but also incorporate complex machine vision and AI subsystems. While our ability to meet as a team in person is limited, our on campus team members are able to work safely at NYU's Maker Garage, while other tasks like CAD, programming, and simulation can be done anywhere on Earth.
You contribution will go straight into materials to allow our underdog team measure up against the 100s of other universities participating in this competition. To be on the cutting edge, it would be in our favor to have industry-level machine vision cameras, custom made PCBs, better onboard computers, etc.
As a team we believe that STEM should be exciting and competitive like a sport, And we strive to not only create a tight-knit team, but also help the community, volunteering our time with FIRST robotics teams and events.
Thank you for your consideration!
