NYU Impact Investment Fund

Welcome!

The NYU Impact Investment Fund (NIIF) is a first-of-its-kind student operated impact investment fund. Launched in 2019, this unique program unites a diverse group of students from the Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, Stern School of Business, NYU Abu Dhabi and the NYU School of Law who are committed to sustainable business and social justice missions. NIIF provides experiential learning and acts as a springboard for placing emerging professionals in competitive impact investing roles globally. 

We rely on tax deductible donations to support NIIF. Every dollar donated to this campaign will be used to make an impact investment in an early stage company with the intention of generating positive, measurable environmental and social impact alongside a financial return.

Our goal is to raise $30,000.

Your support will create 2X impact by:

• Training a diverse and inclusive group of students to become impact investment professionals.
• Sustaining a fund focused on generating high-impact social returns in areas such as health, education, environment, food and agriculture, and financial inclusion.

Donations to NYU for the NYU Impact Investment Fund (NIIF) are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.

NYU will provide an electronic charitable gift acknowledgement to the donor. 

As part of this program, NYU makes contributions to a designated NIIF account at a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) – currently Impact Assets, Inc., a Maryland non-profit corporation – over which NIIF has advisory privileges.  Following its research into several identified sectors and potential investments within them, NIIF will recommend that the DAF make specific investments in the NIIF account that meet NIIF’s criteria.  NIIF will monitor investment performance and, from time to time, will recommend distributions from the NIIF account to charities (other than NYU) that support or otherwise seek to advance the goals of impact investing.
