Tandon Prehealth Alternative Break

Medical, dental, nursing, and other prehealth students or aspiring healthcare professionals have the opportunity to participate in a medical volunteer opportunity abroad through Tandon Prehealth to support the healthcare system in developing countries and gain hands-on experience in the field of medicine to expand their healthcare experience and knowledge.

Participants that take part in this programs would get to work under the supervision of professional doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, and assist in their day to day activities over the span of 1-2 weeks. The volunteering opportunities are offered in different areas depending on the location and can include Emergency, General Medicine, Radiology, Dental, Pediatric, Surgery, Maternity, OPD, Pharmacology, Microbiology & Immunology, Internal Medicine, HIV/AIDS support, Nutrition, Public Health, Midwifery, Nursing amongst several others. We also work in cultural education and educational volunteering as available at any location!

The volunteer abroad opportunities are available throughout the year during j-term, spring break, and/or summer in a location to be announced, with various start/end dates. Serving as a volunteer will not only give students the opportunity to do something good for the people living in the underprivileged societies, and enhance your practical knowledge and skills, but it'll also boost their career and future health professional school applications.
