Shabbat for 2000

At a time when division seems all around us, coming together under the theme of unity is more powerful than ever. 

Shabbat for 2000 brings together students, faculty, alumni, staff, and community members to share the experience of a Shabbat dinner. Not only is Shabbat for 2000 NYU’s largest annual student-run event, it is one of the largest Jewish student-run events in the US. 

Why is Shabbat for 2000 important?

• It unifies the Jewish community on campus
• It gives 200+ students an opportunity to be leaders in their community through the role of table captain 
• It connects people from diverse backgrounds across the University and NYC to break bread together through Jewish tradition

While we appreciate contributions of any size, we also offer a tiered system for sponsorship opportunities:

Tier 1: $36 - Help one student have an S2K meal
Tier 2: $180 - Sponsor grape juice and challah for a table
Tier 3: $360 - Fund the meals of an entire table
Tier 4: $1,800 - Sustain a cross-community Jewish experience 
Tier 5: $3,600 - Help Jewish life thrive at NYU 

Dedications

In appreciation of your support, sponsors at Levels 3, 4, and 5 will be honored with custom placards displayed on the table(s) they've sponsored. These placards will prominently feature the name of the sponsoring individual or group, along with a concise message mutually agreed upon by the sponsor and the Bronfman Staff. Additionally, your generosity will be acknowledged with a special mention in the event program.
